Job Duties

To serve and deliver appetizing food to adult psychiatric patients and staff in sanitary environment to clean and sanitize equipment following proper protocols. Work titles that can be in this benchmark can include Food Service Aid, Diet Kitchen Aid, Food Service Aid – Utility, Food Service Asid – Driver, Food Service Aid – Tray line.

KSAs and or Competencies required to successfully perform the work:

• Ability to read, comprehend and carry-out written and verbal instructions.
• Capacity to learn and perform cleaning and sanitation procedures in a safe and
efficient manner.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate (10-40 lbs) loads, bend, stoop and
carry objects.
• Capability to work in a hot, humid environment.
• Aptitude to work as a contributing team member and customer service focused.
• Ability to work in a secure and locked environment with individuals who are
experiencing acute symptoms of mental illness and/or additional forensic/legal
involvement.

These positions are hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
