  • This is a contract position for a large scale demolition and renovation of a retail shopping space. 
  • Potential to continue on with the company.
  • Daily performance of quality control reviews of subcontractors’ work
  • Review, understand and enforce schedule obligations.
  • Daily identification of conflicts of work conditions.
  • Report daily, tracking of construction activity through Daily Activity Reports and detail Picture Reports.
  • Timely identification of potential change order and/or gaps in scopes of work.
  • Receive, inspect, photograph, all materials/equipment provided by GCC and submit to project team.
  • Enforce OSHA and Company safety policies, Weekly safety meetings, and procedures.

Job description

The Site Superintendent is the active participant coordinating the job site activities with the Construction Team including subcontractors, engineers, architects, suppliers and company managers. The Site Superintendent’s job is to push the ground operations of a construction project to ensure on time completion within costs projections. Ultimately, his/her job is to complete a job ahead of schedule and under projected costs.

This position is in Racine, WI

Specific Responsibilities & Duties

  • Daily review of compliance with the plans and perform quality  control reviews of subcontractors’ work.
  • Review, understand, and enforce schedule obligations.
  • Daily coordination of multiple tasks/trades simultaneously and identification of conflicts of work conditions.
  • Maintain daily log, track and report construction activity on the jobsite.
  • Timely identification of potential change order and/or gaps in scopes of work.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify material deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Ensure jobsite is kept clean and organized.
  • Enforce OSHA and Company safety policies and procedures.

  • Driver's License (Required)

Requirements

  • Mist be available via phone and/or e-mail for extended work hours including weekends.
  • 10 plus years of construction experience; multiple divisions are preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications and renderings.
  • Must be available via phone and/or e-mail for extended work hours including weekends.
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Racine, WI
