Position Summary:

The Director of Corporate Engagement is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of corporate fundraising strategies with corporate and foundation partners to support financial and relationship building goals for Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL). This position will develop relationships that result in increased financial support from corporate partners through a combination of grants, gifts, and sponsorships both independently and in collaboration with Philanthropy, Marketing, and Grants teams. The Director of Corporate Engagement will provide effective donor management from opportunity identification to cultivation, and stewardship.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Works with the Philanthropy, Marketing, Grants, and Volunteer teams to plan and implement strategies that best engage corporations and businesses in volunteer activities, food/fund drives, grant proposals, and cause marketing events in support of the mission of FNEFL, including building a broad base of support by identifying, cultivating, acquiring, renewing, re-engaging, educating, and increasing participants in this constituent group.
  2. Ensure proper cultivation strategies and stewardship of all corporate donors and prospects, leveraging the expertise and strengths of the Philanthropy Team, Leadership Team and all other FNEFL departments.
  3. Cultivate, steward, and increase giving through existing portfolio of corporate relationships; activities 

will include meetings, presentations, phone calls, letters, emails, as well as external and internal event 

attendance.

  1. Manage and execute appropriate strategies for developing new corporate relationships, including the coordination of volunteer opportunities, and engaging their employees in meaningful ways to deepen relationships and secure financial support. 
  2. Encourage corporate participation in the full range of FNEFL services and programs including volunteering, employee giving, matching gifts, grants, special events, and financial support.
  3. Work with appropriate managers to ensure an integrated, coordinated approach on engagement strategies for corporations and businesses participating in volunteer initiatives and food drives, including working closely with the Volunteer department to engage corporate and business volunteers as appropriate.
  4. Create new special events for this constituent group that include volunteering and service learning.
  5. Work with Philanthropy and Marketing department on development and execution of hunger education and service-learning materials for corporate and business groups.
  6. Act as key spokesperson and/or represent at external speaking events, internal volunteer events, media interviews, and tours.
  7. Develop and implement strategies to increase external speaking opportunities and awareness of regional hunger issues.
  8. Coordinate with organizational departments to ensure accurate and appropriate messaging for tours and external speaking opportunities; ensure FNEFL staff and Ambassadors who conduct tours and external speaking opportunities are fully trained.
  9. Handle safety issues as they arise with individuals and organizations (band-aids, ice packs, emergency response, etc.). Ensure proper documentation of incidents and follow-up as needed with volunteers.
  10.  Perform other duties as assigned.
