What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for a Budget Assistant. This position is to support the Financial Management Officer with a variety of clerical, technical, and financial duties involved in the preparation of budget estimates and execution and will perform routine technical budget review functions in assigned areas. This opportunity is a full-time and onsite in Bethesda, MD.
Perform accounting entries in spreadsheets and databases from information retrieved from funding documents.
Maintain Inter/Intra Agency logs.
Prepare summary data and information for designated staff to use in documentation.
Reconcile financial transactions with obligated funds and report deficiencies to designated staff.
Research missing and incomplete orders, coordinate resubmittal as necessary, and review information for accuracy.
Work with designated staff to perform regular review of outstanding schedules.
Annotate and store physical and electronic records in accordance with organizational standards and policies.

What You Will Need:
Associate’s Degree or High School Degree with one (1) year of clerical or administrative experience.

MS Office
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Previous experience working in a Finance/Accounting setting preferred.
