Vast is looking for an Integration Supervisor (2nd Shift), reporting to the Sr. Director, Integration, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. 

This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and coordinate the 2nd shift technicians (1400-2230 M-F)
  • Assist the facilities manager(s) in all aspects of project implementation as needed
  • Perform job walk-downs with vendors, engineers, supervisors, and managers
  • Conduct daily team meetings to communicate goals and expectations
  • Coordinate work schedules and assignments to optimize productivity
  • Work closely with manufacturing planners for efficient scheduling and prioritization of jobs
  • Ensure aerospace industry quality standards are followed
  • Identify training needs for the team
  • Work with the purchasing department to ensure vendors are approved, vetted and insured
  • Assist with badges, International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR) and non-disclosure agreement (NDA) requirements, and safety training
  • Create request for payments and assists the buyers with vendor selection
  • Ensure purchase orders are accurate with no cost overruns
  • Coordination to meet with the Vast end user and establish the scope of work

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical components
  • Ability to read schematics, harness wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists
  • Experience leading and coordinating technicians
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with facilities within an aerospace industry
  • Familiar with space planning procedures and operations
  • Familiarity with MES systems for Work Instructions
  • Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to standards. 
  • Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements. 
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and drive innovation within the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make timely decisions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Logical and strategic approach to solving problems
  • Ability to read and understand basic floor plans
  • Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
  • Specific certifications, as appropriate

Pay Range:

  • Integration Supervisor (2nd Shift): $84,400 - $118,400
