Market Insights 
The main deliverable of Vattenfall’s Group Market Insights team is the Long-Term Market Outlook (LTMO), a scenario-based framework for power price development, which is used throughout Vattenfall for strategic decision making and asset valuation. With the LTMO, market, political and societal trends are translated into scenarios and ultimately into insights to support strategic decision making and test business opportunities.

As a Senior Strategy Advisor, you are responsible for the end product of the LTMO, driving a diverse team of talented individuals and working closely with senior executives and business leaders across Vattenfall. Join us at Market Insights and let your strategic vision shape Vattenfall’s future!

What will you do? 
As a Senior Strategy Advisor at Market Insights, you will take the lead in driving Vattenfall's Long-Term Market Outlook (LTMO). Here are the key responsibilities that await you:

  • Development and Delivery: You will be entrusted with the crucial task of overseeing the yearly process of developing and delivering LTMO scenarios, storylines, and assumptions. Your keen eye for detail will ensure the approval of LTMO scenarios and their products, such as price curves, storylines, and valuable insights.
  • Process Optimization: By setting up effective interfaces, processes, and expert groups, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the LTMO process. Engaging stakeholders and ensuring customer satisfaction will be at the forefront of your efforts. Your ability to understand business needs, define success criteria, and prioritize user requests will be instrumental in shaping the LTMO experience.
  • Team Leadership: As a natural leader, you will be at the helm of the (international) LTMO project team. Guiding and inspiring them on a daily basis, you will foster a collaborative environment that drives excellence and propels the LTMO forward.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: You will work closely with the Director of Market Insights and the Product Owner of Modelling & Data Infrastructure, who is responsible for developing and running the economic models for long-term scenario analyses. Together, you will ensure seamless integration and maximize the value of the LTMO.
  • Multi-Stakeholder Engagement: In this complex and dynamic environment, you will thrive as the "spider in the web". Engaging with various stakeholders, including the Executive Board, VP Strategic Development, relevant Business Areas, Risk Management, Finance, and Public & Regulatory Affairs, you will navigate varying perspectives and interests and forge strong relationships.

Qualifications

Who are you? 
As a Senior Strategy Advisor you will have a proven track record in project management, showcasing your ability to take ownership and drive initiatives within collaborative team environments. Your self-starting nature and positive mindset will set you apart. You will have the following qualifications:

  • Academic degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field, providing a strong foundation for strategic decision making in the energy industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience at a renowned consultancy, energy company, financial services firm, or other knowledge-focused organization. Previous exposure to energy markets is a plus.
  • Highly skilled in interpreting and extracting insights from complex quantitative data and information, enabling you to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and liaison skills, empowering you to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Your excellent communication skills and ability to convey compelling narratives will be essential, as you engage with executive management, subject matter experts, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Advanced fluency in English, both verbally and in written communication, ensuring seamles
