Job Summary:
The Continuing Medical Education Representative coordinates the Medical Staff CME program to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of the hospital as well as meeting the requirements of the Medical Staff Bylaws, The Joint Commission Standards, Louisiana State Medical Society CME Essentials and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. Responsible for the daily operations of the Medical Staff CME Program. Coordinates additional and special functions as assigned by Manager of Medical Staff Services and Administration. Relies on education, some experience and judgment to accomplish job. Works under general supervision. Creativity and some latitude are expected to complete responsibilities.

- Working relationship and open communications are maintained with all physicians, administration, hospital and related departments and representatives working with Medical Staff Services.
- Issues and ongoing status of assigned work are communicated to the Manager of Medical Staff Services on a weekly basis or more frequent, as deemed necessary.

- Technical and administrative support is provided to Continuing Medical Education Committee and other medical staff members as needed.
- Outside reference sources, including LSMS, LHA, universities, medical schools and other hospital CME programs are networked to enhance services available.

Experience - 3 years professional level experience in related field
Special Skills - Microsoft Applications, Computer Literacy, Data Entry, Internet Searching Abilities. Good Communication and customer service skills.
