About the role

The SBHC Program Manager ensures School-based Health Centers (SBHC) will operate within the guidelines set by Neighborcare management team and in accordance with laws and regulations. Supports School-based Health Program Manager lead team and clinical staff in developing, implementing and/or improving systems that affect and/or enhance clinic operations. Provides first line of support to all staff at all SBHC locations, including health center coordinators, medical, dental, and mental health providers. Coordinates and oversees daily clinical operations, schedules, and resources.  Works in partnership and joint accountability with other team members to achieve Neighborcare’s Mission, Guiding Principles and Goals.

Please note that as a part of the school-based health care program this position is on standby during the summer for approximately eight to ten weeks. School based employees are not paid during the standby period. The duration of the standby period may fluctuate from year to year depending on many factors.

 Compensation:  

  • The target wage range for this position is $79,892.80 annually to $95,113.40 annually.  
  • Final offers are individually based on various factors, including skill set, years of experience, location, qualifications, work schedule and other job-related reasons.
  • Please note that as a part of the school-based health care program this position is on standby during the summer for approximately eight to ten weeks. School based employees are not paid during the standby period. The duration of the standby period may fluctuate from year to year depending on many factors.

PRIMARY RESPONISBILITIES

Key responsibilities: 

  • Work with School-based Health Program Manager lead team to develop and maintain systems to ensure clinic productivity is met.
  • Attend to the set-up, maintenance, and management of electronic health records systems, practice management systems, and administrative support systems.
  • Lead, support, identify, and participate in clinical quality of care initiatives and process improvement activities as a member of the School-based Health Program Manager lead team.
  • Work with lead team and staff to develop annual goals and objectives, address service failures, improve systems and operations, and report regularly on progress
  • Collaborate with City of Seattle and Public Health on Program Managers, student advocacy and funding. Work with Development Department on funding strategies.
  • Manage records systems and administrative support systems ensuring that information is complete, accurate and deadlines are met
  • Manage SBHC Quality Improvement projects in collaboration with School-based Health Program Manager lead team members.
  • Assist in strategic planning, budget projections, productivity analysis, and other business related initiatives.
  • Support School-based Medical Director, Mental Health Clinical Manager, and Specialty Program Managers-Dental Manger in orienting clinical staff on clinic operations and functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required: Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, healthcare administration, public administration, business, or a related field.

Preferred: Master's degree in nursing, public health, healthcare administration, public administration, business, or related field.

Preferred for this job: 

  • Clinical care experience within a community clinic setting.
