Position Description

This position plays a critical role in the ownership and execution of a variety of corporate and commercial marketing activities, with a focus on Lindsay’s irrigation business segment. This opportunity offers a diverse workload, supporting both domestic and international marketing tactics, while having exposure to senior level leaders and strategies. This role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with senior executives and actively contribute to strategic marketing efforts.

 

Position Details

This is a full-time, salaried position, flexible hybrid position (core in-office days are Tuesday-Thursday) based at Lindsay’s corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. Some travel is required, including potential for overseas travel (total travel time less than 10%). The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and project management skills, including the ability to expertly manage multiple projects, deliverables and timelines. The ideal candidate will possess a mastery of writing and project management, coupled with an unwavering commitment to communication excellence and a fervent sense of accountability and determination.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The Marketing Manager will take on a prominent role in the ownership and execution of an array of marketing endeavors, encompassing both ongoing and project-based activities. The expanded duties and responsibilities include:

  • Driving the formulation of dynamic marketing plans tailored for the Irrigation business unit
  • Strategizing alongside the VP of Marketing and Communications to architect the overarching marketing vision for the irrigation business
  • Taking charge of the end-to-end execution of diverse marketing initiatives
  • Leading VOC initiatives tailored to discern the unique needs and preferences of the irrigation business audience
  • Managing agency partners and a contract employee to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal outcomes
  • Crafting, revising, and orchestrating various written communications, including press releases, product literature, social media content, web material, and dealer-focused communications
  • Overseeing the production of marketing collateral, ensuring meticulous management of inventory, content updates, artwork, and printing
  • Maintaining the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of content across designated corporate and product brand websites
  • Pioneering digital marketing campaigns, spanning social media, advertising, data-driven email initiatives, and other strategic endeavors
  • Exercising oversight over social media platforms and website with the support of external agency resources
  • Driving the orchestration of events and trade shows
  • Providing crucial support for brand management activities

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, public relations, communications or related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in marketing and/or communications
  • Proven aptitude in writing, editing, and proofreading, with a strong grasp of AP style guidelines
  • Proficiency in standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in agriculture or manufacturing is desirable, though not mandatory
  • Previous agency involvement is highly advantageous and strongly preferred
