With instruction offered on both the OSU Corvallis and OHSU Portland campuses, students engage in a multidisciplinary approach to pharmacy theory, practice, and research. Through the Department of Pharmacy Practice, Pharm.D. students develop the expertise needed to advance patient care through interprofessional collaboration in the health sciences, while graduate students in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences contribute to innovative biomedical research that addresses critical healthcare challenges. Through these combined efforts, the College remains committed to developing pharmacists and independent scientists who improve health, promote wellness, and enhance quality of life. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development for the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Pharmacy, and working in partnership with College of Pharmacy leadership, the Assistant Director of Development joins a cohort of assistant and associate directors of development who support the pipeline development and fundraising goals of the OSU Foundation on behalf of Oregon State University.  It is the role of the Assistant Director of Development to qualify a large number of potential donors for the college/unit, and to focus on the solicitation of mid-level annual gifts ranging from $1,000 - $49,999. The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Development are to leverage technology and processes to 1) secure annual gifts ($1,000 - $49,999) at scale, and 2) grow the pool of potential major gift donors for the future.       The Assistant Director of Development is expected to devote 80% of work time to fundraising activities and 20% of work time to administrative responsibilities.  Major Duties Manage a comprehensive portfolio of 200 – 250 potential donors. Raise $250,000 - $500,000 dollars per year, as measured by commitments of annual ($1,000 - $2,499), and mid-level ($2,500 - $49,999). Open 20 - 50 ($1,000+) proposals per year.  Close 15 – 30 gifts ($1,000 - $49,999) per year.  Conduct 120-160 visits and substantive contacts per year, focused on assigned portfolio and the engagement, cultivation and solicitation of potential donors.  Work with the College to develop compelling gift opportunities/materials, such as giving circles, advisory groups, corporate sponsorships, and other product-related giving opportunities to facilitate fundraising conversations with alumni and donors on behalf of the College. Collaborate with college/university external relations colleagues to broaden and deepen the engagement of alumni, parents and friends.  Employing sales enablement technology, conduct electronic outreach (I.e. email, video, texting) to garner both video conference and in person visits to build a managed portfolio of donors and pipeline of potential donors.
