We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

As a Senior Supplier Compliance and Governance Lead, you will help drive enterprise initiatives that support regulatory compliance, supplier risk management, responsible sourcing, and business decision-making. In this role you will serve as a strategic partner to our procurement groups by gathering supplier data, analyzing compliance requirements, monitoring evolving regulations, identifying risks, and supporting governance initiatives across the enterprise. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, communication skills, business process improvement capabilities, and the ability to thrive in an environment where requirements and regulations continue to evolve.

This role sits within Caterpillar's Supplier Compliance, Sustainability & Governance organization and offers the opportunity to influence how the company responds to changing global regulations and supplier compliance requirements.

You'll work on highly visible initiatives that support responsible sourcing, supplier governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and business decision-making across the enterprise. If you enjoy solving complex problems, working with data, driving process improvements, partnering with stakeholders, and helping build resilient and responsible supply chains, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What you will do:

Supplier Compliance & Governance

  • Lead and support enterprise supplier compliance initiatives related to regulatory compliance, responsible sourcing, supplier risk management, governance activities, due diligence processes, and compliance reporting.

  • Help ensure supplier compliance programs remain effective, scalable, and aligned with evolving business and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to communicate requirements, drive timely responses, resolve issues, and support successful implementation of compliance and governance initiatives.

Data Collection, Analysis & Business Insights

  • Collect, validate, aggregate, and analyze supplier data from multiple sources to support compliance, sustainability, and governance objectives.

  • Transform supplier data into actionable insights that support business decisions and risk management activities.

  • Monitor trends, identify gaps, and develop reporting that enables stakeholders to make informed decisions.

Business Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Lead efforts to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve supplier compliance and governance processes.

  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, improve data quality, reduce risk, and enhance the overall effectiveness of compliance programs.

  • Partner with stakeholders to implement sustainable process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, including project planning, stakeholder engagement, milestone tracking, implementation, and sustainment activities.

  • Coordinate across functions to manage competing priorities and drive successful outcomes in a dynamic environment.

  • Support deployment of new tools, processes, governance models, and reporting capabilities.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communications

  • Build productive relationships across Procurement, Sustainability, Legal, International Trade, Product Compliance, Supply Chain, and Business Divisions
