Commercial Fleet Operations Supervisor

Mission Summary:
The Commercial Fleet Operations Supervisor assists leadership in creating best practices and protocols for operators to abide by. They are the first point of contact for vehicle operators when issues arise and assist in resolving them. After coordinating with multiple departments, such as engineering, L&D, and safety, Supervisors determine what resources are necessary to conduct operations efficiently. They manage schedules for team members while ensuring there is no impact on operations. They supervise the daily performance of vehicle operators to include coaching, addressing attendance issues, and issuing disciplinary points in alignment with company policies and standards. They will conduct bi-weekly reviews with vehicle operators and bi-annual and annual performance reviews to ensure that effective coaching is in place for growth and development.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures
- Provide technical leadership to the team to include coaching, training and selection of the team
- Be responsible for the professional growth of your team members
- Ensure compliance throughout the site to global process standards and works on continuous improvement initiatives
- Evaluating the performance of your direct reports, delivering positive and/or constructive feedback, and addressing any opportunities for improvement
- Basic IT and AV system troubleshooting
- Interview vehicle operator candidates
- Manage direct reports time off and clock punches
- Monitor and report on department performance
- Participate in strategic planning and goal-setting for various projects
- Ensure team is up to date/compliant with training
- Able to travel domestically
- Other duties as assigned
What we're looking for:
- 6 months - 1 year of prior management experience
- Ability to use a computer to generate reports and schedules
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have shift flexibility including nights and weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Able to manage a diverse workforce
- Desire to work in a fast paced environment
- Highly organized, efficient, and process oriented
Bonus points (not required):
- 5+ years of driving experience
- Autonomous vehicle industry experience
- Knowledge of Jira/Confluence
- Excellent in Advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Proficient in Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Gmail, Calendar, Google+)
- Confidence in presenting reports and training materials
- Data analytic experience

This role supervises employees and partners with other sites for consistent leadership and management practices.

Working Environment:
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbents may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, road conditions and pedestrian traffic. The team member is regularly exposed to mechanical and computer parts. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles.
