What you'll do...

Position: Staff Software Engineer

Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Architect and develop highly scalable and distributed systems by collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine project strategy. Interpret strategy into sustainable solutions. Drive prototype development to ensure concepts are feasible and implement prototypes to validate projects. Drive design and overall architecture and implement scalable, secure, and easy to maintain software solutions that will solve critical customer problems. Drive significant technology initiatives end-to-end and across multiple layers of architecture. Guide project teams by identifying short and long-term solutions and timelines. Provide guidance regarding project issues or roadblocks; review and approve proposed solutions; implement new architectural patterns; and perform design and code review of changes. Capture requirements and use cases by collaborating with cross-functional business partners, product managers, and stakeholders. Actively stay abreast of industry best practices, share learnings, and experiment and apply cutting-edge technologies. Provide technical guidance to software engineers.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 4 years of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills required: Experience architecting, designing, and implementing large scale web applications. Experience with core Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and design patterns. Experience with front-end development technologies: HTML, Javascript, and CSS. Experience developing REST API services using NodeJS, Express, and Typescript. Experience with front-end frameworks and tools: ReactJS, Redux, Typescript, SASS, and Styled Components. Experience developing dashboard and analytics applications using charting libraries: Highcharts and D3JS. Experience with Javascript build tools: Webpack, Vite, and Rollup. Experience with version control using GIT. Experience with defect tracking using JIRA. Experience releasing NPM Packages with semantic versioning using Lerna. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD systems using Docker, Jenkins, CircleCI, and Github Actions. Experience with software development methodologies: Scrum and Agile. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $143,000/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
