What would you do?
This individual is responsible for managing the Iowa Wolves Ticket Sales and Service staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing the day-to-day sales process of Wolves full and partial season ticket packages as well as group ticket initiatives, service initiatives, and building and executing departmental strategic plans focused on achieving designated sales objectives.

1. Assist with the creation and execution of the department strategic plan and operating budget.
2. Work with leadership team to establish overall ticket pricing, packages, and timeline strategies.
3. Consistently deliver on projected department revenue objectives/goals.
4. Identify potential revenue streams and lead process to create and implement a business plan and return on investment (ROI).
5. Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with business partners, day-to-day contacts, and senior leadership team.
6. Recruit, hire, train, and manage Wolves ticket sales staff members. Includes planning staff meetings and sales training.
7. Ensure compliance in weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
8. Maintain relationships with contacts across the league to drive sharing of “best practices.”
9. Maintain and grow a personal account list.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other:
1. Proficient computer skills (including experience with ticketing systems, CRM, Microsoft Office suite of products, and other related software is preferred).
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Ability to work extended hours, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
4. Knowledge of professional sports industry, with specific knowledge of ticket sales.
5. Ability to think creatively and develop strategies.
6. Knowledge of managerial best practices.
Additional information:
Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience is preferred, also 2+ years supervisory/management experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or other related field is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Knowledge of the professional sports industry, as well as experience working in professional, minor league, or college sports is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. In addition to working office hours, staff will be required to work all Wolves home games as well as external events including, but not limited to, charity functions, networking events, etc. Work is both sedentary and active in nature, and the working environment is favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate to high levels of noise.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
Travel Position may require travel to external events.
