Housekeeping Houseperson

Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Houseman to join our team. The Houseman will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all common areas to include corridors, vending areas, elevators, and landings on guest room floors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and maintain all corridors, vending areas, elevators, and landings on guest room floors to ensure the hotel's standards of cleanliness are met

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closet; remove trash, wipe down shelves/ counters; sweep and wax floor; remove non-floor closet items and transport to proper storage areas.

- Remove all dirty glassware from assigned Room Attendant's carts and closets and place in laundry chute.

- Provide linen supplies for Room Attendants and stock floor closets

- Deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and Floor Supervisor

- Remove all dirty linen from assigned Room Attendant's carts and closets and place in laundry chute

- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department

- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Excellent communication skills

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
