The Accounting Assistant position is responsible for handling the fundamental aspects of Highbar's financial recordkeeping, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and cash receipts and reconciling bank accounts to ensure their accuracy.
What you'll do: *Manage the accounts payable process by coding invoices, submitting for proper approval, and processing for payment.*Manage and maintain timely and accurate cash account records at all times. Includes posting of cash receipts, monthly bank reconciliations.*Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions.*Order supplies as needed for all locations if or when necessary.*Prepare or manage various spreadsheets, allocations, and analyses as needed relating to billing, accounts receivable, and/or accounts receivables.*Prepare and enter journal entries.*General ledger account reconciliation.*Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.*Assist in end of month closing process.*Assist with processing and posting payroll.
Education/Experience:*Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping related experience.*Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.*Preference given to candidates with an associate's degree in AccountingHighbar currently has opportunities in all 21 geographically dispersed clinics in MA and RI.
