As part of our EY-GDS D&A (Data and Analytics) team, we help our clients solve complex business challenges with the help of data and technology. We dive deep into data to extract the greatest value and discover opportunities in key business and functions like Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Auto, Supply Chain, and Finance

• 8+ year’s experience ETL developer or Lead, expertise in Talend, SQL and experience in writing custom JAVA code routine in Talend.
• Understanding of data warehousing principles, including dimensional modelling, star and snowflake schemas, and ETL best practices.
• Familiarity with various databases like MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and the ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Ability to perform data mapping, transformation, and cleansing tasks.
• Experience using Talend Open Studio (7.x) and (8.0) experience with Talend Management Console (TMC) or Talend Administration console(TAC).
• Understanding of Source and Target Systems: Knowledge of the systems involved in the migration, including the legacy system and the new target system.
• Experience in complex data management or Application integration solution and deployment in areas of data migration, data integration, application integration or data quality.
• Experience in creating complex Talend jobs, (Joblets, routines, data processing, orchestration, parallelization, transformations and ETL Fundamentals.
• XML and Web Services: Understanding of XML structures, XSD, and experience with SOAP and RESTful web services
• Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN to manage changes in the project
• Skills in testing methodologies to validate the migrated data against source data for accuracy.
• Ability to manage changes effectively and adapt to new requirements during the migration process.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the migration.
• Basic project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor the migration project.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, stakeholders, and to document the migration process,

 

Responsibilities:

• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand the data migration requirements, including source and target systems, data formats, volume, and quality
• Work closely with other team members, including database administrators, data analysts, and project managers, to ensure a coordinated approach to the migration project.
• Analyse the structure, dependencies, and quality of the data in the source system to identify any potential issues that may arise during migration.
• Design the ETL architecture and plan the migration strategy, including the mapping of data between source and target systems, transformation rules, and the overall project timeline.
