Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic Software Engineer to join the Home Lending - Capital Markets team to develop and support critical functionalities across our product area, primarily focused on our high visibility Portfolio Management application. The selected candidate will be knowledgeable in application development, maintenance, and technology strategy. They will be engaged in providing creative and innovative, yet practical solutions for our product area business partners.

In this role, you will:
Collaborate with team members in a Kanban development environment to plan, execute and deliver low to moderately complex data initiatives and projects associated with the Home Lending Technology domain.
Develop, document, maintain, debug, test and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code.
Create and enhance Unix shell scripts for automation and batch processes.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Develop data workflows and automation using Python, particularly for ETL processes.
Deploy code using Jenkins and UDeploy.
Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative implementation approaches.
Present recommendations for resolving issues and escalate issues as needed.
Ensure all development activities align with organizational security standards and compliance requirements, including secure coding practices and data handling policies.
Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
2 + years of strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
2+ years' experience with Unix/Linux Shell scripting.
Desired Qualifications:
Understanding of Software Development best practices, including design patterns, code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
Ability to deliver & engage with peers and partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating collaboration & accountability for their assigned deliveries.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Familiarity with DevOps practices
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB.
Experience in Ab Initio BRE
Experience in Kafka or similar data streaming technologies
Knowledge of Jenkins, Gradle, Liquibase, GitHub and uDeploy
Experience in developing Python development.

Pay Range:
For IA locations only: $30.58 - $54.33 hourly
