The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing Product Development team. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting stack, including .NET Core, C#, React, and AzureSQL. As a Senior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with embedded Product Owners, Ops, and QA. You will mentor others and leverage cutting-edge technologies while working in Agile teams. Everyone has a voice, as your entire team actively participates in Scrum practices. In addition, the Product Development team is dedicated to providing a unique learning culture supporting personal growth time.

Where you’ll work

You must be located in the US to be considered for this position. You’ll have the flexibility to choose between remote work (States permitting) or working from our office in Austin.

What you'll be doing​

• Designs and develops software applications. Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process

• Understand customers, business goals, and team goals to ensure work has the greatest customer impact.

• Define deliverables (stories) that can be completed within a finite timeframe.

• Proactively identify new opportunities and advocate for and implement improvements to the current state of projects.

• Make informed decisions by consulting the Product Manager and/or Product Trio and balancing details with the big picture.

• Proactively communicate and coordinate the team’s requirements with other groups and teams in engineering.

• Define and deliver well-scoped milestones for a project.

• Actively level up less-experienced members of the team by helping them with their craft, providing guidance, and setting a good example. Can be seen by other engineers as valuable technical advisor who can help them work through tough technical problems.

What you'll need

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.

• Experience in C#, .NET Core – knowledge of Python a bonus

• Professional full stack development experience

• Experience with React or Angular preferred

• Experience in API design and development

• Familiar with virtualization/container technologies such as Docker

• Broad experience designing, programming, and implementing large information systems.

• Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organization and time management skills.
