Rate of Pay: Starting at $18.00 depending on experience

Shift Type: Full-time position available; 7:00AM - 7:00PM & 7:00PM - 7:00AM Shifts Available days will vary, weekend availability

Summary:

In the role of a Medication Technician, you will provide excellent hands-on care to our residents daily. The Med Tech will deliver timely medication, observe, document and report resident status and ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our residents in accordance with company procedures and standard. Perform various other resident-focused tasks as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Demonstrates and promotes SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule, treating others, including residents, families, visitors, and associates, in the same way we would like to be treated.*
2. Assigns team members with tasks to be completed during shift, including routine rounds.*
3. Resolves problems, and troubleshoots issues without direction of management*
a. Notifies proper management team member of serious issues and consults for appropriate action and further direction.
4. Provides feedback to Director of Resident Services regarding performance of associates supervised.
5. Provides training, orientation and mentoring to new associates.*
6. Accepts associate call offs, and finds replacement staff as needed.
7. Conducts daily care team meetings
8. Conducts skin checks, quarterly summaries.
9. Completes cart audits
10. Conducts room checks multiple times a day
11. Provides updates to families, tuck in calls, takes phone calls, checks in with visitors.
12. Re-orders medications from pharmacy.
13. Follows daily assignments for supervisor.
14. Reviews Yardi for missing information within the MORS
15. Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.*
16. Assists with ADL's, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging resident independence.*
17. Speaks to/interacts with residents at all levels of care constantly, while showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.*
18. Observes and reports to supervisor daily and all changes in the resident’s health and emotional well-being. *
19. Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.*
20. Responsible for initiating and participating in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.*
21. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents at all times.*
22. Performs daily general housekeeping duties following established cleaning schedules.*
23. Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.*
24. Always responds promptly and courteously to resident's requests for assistance including phone calls and requests from family members and visitors.*
25. Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.*
26. Ensures residents and/or responsible parties sign residents out when they leave the community.*
27. Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families, visitors, and associates.*
28. Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits at all times.*
29. Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.*
30. Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.*
31. Knows, understands, and follows established policies and procedures in emergency situations.*
32. Responsible for being considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather. Is required to report or remain at community until released by supervisor.*
33. Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.*
