We are seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with five or more years of experience who is dynamic, innovative, and is looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, be able to work with minimal oversight, and have a desire to work and grow as a team player.
Duties and Skills:
- Performing analysis of existing fire protection systems, and design new systems.
- Possess project management skills to manage internal projects and external client needs.
- Be comfortable managing project scope, budgeting, and project accounting.
- Be a team player with a drive to positively mentor entry level fire protection engineers.
- Performing research and documenting for internal and external distribution.
- Design and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.
- Assist in managing CAD and production efforts.
- Perform consulting services for internal clients utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills.
- Technical skills can include: Building and fire code analysis and interpretation, Automatic suppression system design, Fire detection, Alarm and mass notification system design, Life-safety code analysis and egress analysis, Fire resistant construction analysis, Smoke control analysis and special inspection, General fire protection, and life safety concepts and research
- Managing day-to-day contact with internal and external clients while utilizing experience and technology to meet expectations.
- Possess semi-advanced computer skills regarding computer-aided drafting, Revit, graphics, fire dynamic simulation, Outlook, email, Word, and Excel.
- Be a positive contributor to the overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
- Able to multi‐task and prioritize in a fast‐paced environment.
- Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from accredited college or university
- Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degrees will be considered.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Fire Protection Engineering (consulting)
- Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred)
- Experience with the current versions of AutoCAD and Revit
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including oral presentation skills.
