Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Global Total Rewards is currently recruiting for a Manager, Global Health & Welfare Benefits, located in New Brunswick, NJ or Tampa, FL.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the analysis, design and strategic alignment of J&J’s health and welfare benefits across its 80+ countries around the world. The specialist will partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver a competitive benefits offering to attract and retain talent, support J&J’s culture of health and care, and promote the value proposition of J&J’s comprehensive benefits to employees. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge in benefits, a spirit of collaboration and purpose, and comfort with holding oneself and others to high standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the analysis and design of global health and welfare benefit programs.
- Review market trends and innovation for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and other benefits and work with leadership to perform analysis and/or proposals for J&J employees.
- Stay informed of developments within benefits landscape, healthcare industry, political developments, and J&J strategies in a cohesive way to bring forth.
- Work with internal stakeholders to review current benefits, consider proposed design changes and collaborate with stakeholders to socialize/gain approval as needed.
Actively manage external partners to hold them accountable to contractual terms, performance and other guarantees, SLAs, ROIs, etc., by:
- Participating in meetings with meaningful and strategic agendas that are clear on purpose, take-aways and follow-throughs.
- Actively analyzing data, reports, analyses, files, etc. from external partners to ensure not only compliance to contractual and other standards, but also to J&J’s benefits strategies and desired outcomes.
Adopt a continuously learning and curious mindset to assess the status quo for opportunities for design, process and other improvements, and, if appropriate, to relay findings in a constructive and collaborative way to stakeholders and partners for action. Assist leadership in financial and compliance related activities, such as the review/processing of any purchase orders, invoices, Trust LODs, and other budget related items. Assist other members of the H&W Benefits team on various projects as needed, including Annual Enrollment activities, employee escalations, program launches, and other special assignments.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. An advanced degree is highly desirable (Master’s/Ph.D. in HR, MBA in HR or other related concentration, OD, Org Psych, or related discipline).
- A minimum of 6 years professional hands-on experience is required.
- Strong analytical skills required. Must have the ability to define and measure plan performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvements and savings. Strong experience with Excel required.
- Facilitation and project management experience (e.g., project plans, status reports, communication plans, risk management plans, milestones, deliverable charts) is required.
- Strong leadership skills- ability to independently handle the day-to-day assigned tasks, initiatives and projects that arise.
- Good presentation and communication skills are required. Experience using PowerPoint required.
- Influence, negotiation, and consultative skills are required.
