The Fox Theatre in Atlanta is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Private Events Lead.
The Private Events Lead at the Fox Theatre plays a vital role in the successful execution of private events across the venue, with a primary focus on beverage service and guest experience. Reporting to the Private Events Manager, this hands-on position is responsible for coordinating front of-house event logistics, supervising bar staff, and ensuring service standards are upheld throughout all private functions held in Fox Theatre event spaces.
The Private Events Lead acts as the on-site point of contact for bar operations during events, ensuring bars are fully stocked, staff are prepared and informed, and service is executed efficiently and professionally. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to respond to real-time event needs and client requests. In addition to maintaining high levels of hospitality and presentation, the Private Events Lead helps train and support part-time staff, monitors compliance with health and alcohol service regulations, and ensures all event activities align with the Fox Theatre’s service standards. This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering memorable guest experiences.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the execution of beverage service during private events, acting as the on-site point person for setup, service, and breakdown.
- Ensures all bar areas are properly stocked, organized, and staffed prior to guest arrival.
- Responsible for monitoring service flow, addresses real-time issues, and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality guest experiences.
- Responsible for post-event coordination that includes breakdown process and verification that all bar areas are cleaned, restocked, and secured according to Fox Theatre standards.
- Supervises part-time bar and service staff, ensuring that team members are well informed and prepared for their responsibilities.
- Coaches and mentors on the floor, reinforcing the Fox Theatre’s Five Star guest service expectations while fostering a professional and positive work environment.
- Assists with the training of new staff, ensuring proper service procedures, product knowledge, and adherence to safety and hospitality protocols.
- Maintaining an active and approachable presence during events, the Private Events Lead is responsible for ensuring guests receive
attentive and professional service throughout their experience. - Support the bar team in delivering timely and knowledgeable service, assist with VIP and client-specific requests, and help resolve any service issues promptly.
- Manages inventory during events by monitoring stock levels and ensuring supplies are properly used and replenished.
- Participates in monthly inventory counts of all private event beverage products, ensuring accurate tracking and accountability.
- Ensures all equipment is used safely and stored correctly, and report any damages or maintenance needs to management.
- Ensures compliance with local health, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations is strictly enforced under their supervision.
- This position requires strong coordination across departments, as the Private Events Lead works closely with the Private Events
Manager, culinary team, Affairs to Remember (ATR) and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution. - Communicate effectively with staff to implement service strategies and event plans, while also sharing guest feedback and
operational insights with leadership. - Supporting a high level of collaboration, the Private Events Lead helps ensure consistency and excellence across all aspects of private event service.
