Our Transportation practice includes civil engineering, bridge & structural engineering, Resident Engineering and Inspection, Bridge Inspection, and geotechnical engineering.  We specialize in analysis, design, evaluation, monitoring, and rehabilitation for a wide variety of transportation infrastructure projects. The Role

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Manage Projects: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of geotechnical and structural engineering projects.

  • Solve Complex Engineering Problems: Perform advanced geotechnical and structural analysis and design, leveraging cutting-edge tools and software.

  • Mentor & Develop Talent: Guide junior engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth.

  • Client & Team Collaboration: Engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams to understand project requirements and develop tailored solutions.

  • Field Work & Site Coordination: Conduct field explorations and oversee construction activities (10% travel required).

  • Business Development: Play an active role in expanding our practice, contributing to proposals, and developing client relationships.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering preferred.

  • Experience: 4+ years of relevant industry experience, with a strong background in soil-structure interaction.

  • Licensing: Professional Engineering (PE) license required.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, GeoStudio Suite, PLAXIS, SAP2000, and Ensoft software.

  • Additional Requirements: Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Compensation

The rate for this position generally is $95,000 - $110,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the Massachusetts Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is based on what a successful Massachusetts applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in Massachusetts or perform the position from Massachusetts. Similar positions located outside of Massachusetts will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by Massachusetts Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
