What You Will Do

• Provide structures analytical support for commercial and military programs, with responsibility for the durability and structural integrity of gas-turbine compressor components.  This includes airfoils, rotors & shafts, cases, and actuation linkage systems.  Responsibilities include:
• Provide analytical support for preliminary & detailed design, through development, validation, certification, manufacturing and operational service.
• Cover validation testing (engine and rig) and data-reduction.
• Support in-service field investigations.
• Use FE and classical methods for strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance, containment, kinematic and optimization analyses.
• Document and present results to management and internal customers.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in structural analysis, with problem solving skills using FEM for stress/deflection and vibration analyses.
• Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
• Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. R
