As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Front Desk Part-Time in Roseland, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Your responsibilities will include managing access control, monitoring badge activity, and assisting with security-related inquiries. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Welcome and assist visitors, guests, and employees at the front desk, providing professional customer service in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide a point of contact for inquiries and assistance.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, or concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
• Communicate professionally with location personnel, vendors, and visitors to address inquiries and escalate concerns as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
