Transformation Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Transformation Project Manager serves as a key resource for leading and implementing critical projects across the health system to advance the health system strategy and effectiveness at the direction of the Director, Health System Transformation. This includes leading system-level projects and cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams charged with operationalizing new programs and services and leading efforts to optimize health system resources, business processes and organizational effectiveness with the focus on establishing alignment, setting goals and timelines, evaluating appropriate resource utilization as well as other aspects as needed. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, Communication, Project Management or other related area.
2. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

1. Three years of relevant experience preferred. 
2. Previous experience in the successful development and implementation of organizational solutions and projects.
3. Healthcare experience preferred. 
4. Exposure to change management and culture change.

1. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff at all levels and develop strong working relationships.
2. Ability to work independently and produce quality results as well as function effectively in a team environment. 
3. Knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and processes
4. Demonstrate practical knowledge of change management practices
5. Demonstrates influential leadership skills and creative thinking.
6. Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. 
7. Effective and efficient organizational, planning, time management and facilitation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
8. Proficient with Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
9. Conducts business in a professional and cordial manner that upholds the integrity and reputation of Mount Nittany Health.

License/Certification/Registration:

Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement/project management certifications is preferred. 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Receives minimal supervision from the Director, Health System Transformation.

SUPERVISION GIVEN

Leads teams to create and implement strategic initiatives across the health system. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Work collaboratively with the Director to develop and execute the transformation of programs and strategic projects, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, drive operational efficiencies, and enhance patient experience.
3. Assist in monitoring and tracking program progress, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
4. Coordinates and coaches teams regarding continuous improvement and problem solving methodologies.
5. Serves as an anchor of change management and provides guidance, tools, resources and feedback to leaders and staff to prepare for and support anticipated changes including the impact on employees. 
6. Provides guidance, facilitates meetings/discussions, supports leadership and staff, develops timelines, monitors progress, identifies/mitigates issues and risks, and monitors metrics/budgets as needed. 
7. Cultivates strong and positive working relationships with stakeholders to support successful implementation, adoption, and integration of strategic plans.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs related and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
