Principal Architect
Bayer U.S. LLC’s Whippany, NJ, office seeks a Principal Architect. This is a hybrid office/work-from-home position within the United States that will translate Business and IT strategy into a target architecture for all layers of IT architecture. Will also: (i) drive change that creates business opportunities through innovation as well as architecture and guides the Commercial IT & Digital team towards this defined target picture; (ii) provide insights, thought leadership, and advice, partner with business and vendors to clearly lay out the roadmap to achieve the defined target; (iii)define, align, and communicate the architecture as well as the roadmap with senior business and IT stakeholders and product teams; (iv) design and deliver architectural initiatives that drive revenue and/or improve efficiency in line with business strategy.
This is a hybrid office/work-from-home position within the United States, but the employee must be able to work in the Whippany office three (3) days per week.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Information Systems or a related field plus six (6) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.
Will also accept a master’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Information Systems or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in a related position.
Experience must include three (3) years working with: (i) digital solution architecture in one or more integration, API, website, or cloud architecture; (ii) Business Architecture and Capability Modelling, Architecture Strategy, and Principles, Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), and Tools, Architecture Design on Business, Application, Data, and Technology Layer; (iii) Designing Website Architecture to manage websites at scale (1000s of websites); (iv) Enterprise Web content management (Ex: Drupal); (v) large-scale Headless and JAM Stack (Ex: Gatsby, NextJs, etc.,) implementations; (vi) designing and implementing APIs following scalability, re-usability cost-effectiveness, and security principles; (vii) building Architecture Landscapes, models, and roadmaps; and (viii) designing, integrating, and managing complex solutions.
Experience can be concurrent.
This is a hybrid office/work-from-home position within the United States, but the employee must be able to work in the Whippany office three (3) days per week.
