Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer passionate about automating and optimizing software development processes using Azure DevOps. You will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, integrating various tools and technologies in both Cloud and on-premises environments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a DevOps Engineer required
- Azure: Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps implementation and administration.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment and well-versed in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, or GitLab CI/CD to automate the build, test, and deployment process.
- Microsoft Windows Servers: Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server platforms, including IIS and Windows services. Most of the work will be in these environments for at least two years of experience in automating processes and deploying ASP.NET applications.
- Infrastructure as a Code (IaC): Expertise in Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) provisioning and managing infrastructure through code, using Terraform or Azure resource management templates.
- Containerization Technologies: Knowledge of Azure DevOps containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Version Control Systems: Expertise in version control systems like Git and Azure Repos, ensuring proper code management, versioning, and collaboration with dev teams.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Powershell or Bash that is necessary to automate repetitive tasks and build efficient workflows.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving skills are essential to working with cross-functional teams.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Application Performance Monitoring: Skilled in monitoring and logging, Azure Monitor, App Insights or ELK stack tools.
- SAST/DAST: Experience with static and dynamic application security testing using Fortify or SonarQube.
- Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban to promote development and facilitate faster delivery.
- Security and Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks. Software audits including but not limited to SOC-2, NIST and FISMA.
- Scripting Languages: Python, Perl, DOS Batch Scripts, VBScript, TypeScript and JavaScript.
- DevOps certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Docker Certified Associate or HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate DevOps.
