Responsibilities

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is searching for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) Defensive Cyber Operations rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

 

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with MTSI, your development activities at the Defensive Cyber Operations  program office adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).  SAFe offers proven, integrated principles, practices, and competencies to implement lead, agile, and DevOps at scale. Additionally, this program office personifies DevSecOps which automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initial design, through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery. These development efforts shall result in two deployable defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to USSF mission systems.

 

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

 

Hands on experience in the following: Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve pipeline experience. Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems. Perform root cause analysis for development environment errors. Investigate and resolve technical CI/CD issues. Develop scripts to automate visualization. Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes. Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure

 

Qualifications

 

Required skills:

• At least 18 years of relevant professional experience.
• Relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena
• Experience in programming languages (at least 2): React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML, Databases, SQL, Gitlab, & Artifactory
• Familiarity & knowledge:
  • Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi
• Experience or Knowledge in the following Areas:
