About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend or Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team at Oracle Health. As an experienced Developer, you will be at the forefront of designing and building the core backend systems that power our Electronic Health Records (EHR) solutions. You will work with modern Java frameworks (such as Spring Boot, Micronaut, or Quarkus), developing microservices-based architectures that deliver reliable, scalable, and secure applications. Our solutions also utilize GraphQL and REST APIs to enable seamless data integration and access, allowing healthcare providers to deliver better patient care. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to integrate AI and machine learning capabilities to drive intelligent insights and automation within our EHR systems. This role involves working on large-scale, highly secure applications that handle sensitive healthcare data, making performance, security, and compliance key priorities. •    Develop and maintain responsive web applications using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Oracle JET).
•    Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product managers to create seamless and user-friendly interfaces.
•    Implement efficient and reusable code components, ensuring high performance across different devices and browsers.


• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using modern Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Micronaut, Quarkus) in a microservices architecture.

• Build and manage robust, scalable, and secure REST and GraphQL APIs for data integration and real-time access.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that enhance user experiences and streamline healthcare workflows.

• Integrate AI and machine learning models to enable intelligent automation and data-driven insights.

• Ensure that all services are performant, secure, and compliant with industry standards and best practices.

• Participate in code reviews, contributing to code quality and shared knowledge across the team.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in backend development, microservices, cloud technologies, and AI, applying them to improve our systems.

Preferred Qualifications

    •    Experience integrating AI/ML models into backend services.
    •    Familiarity with data streaming and message-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
    •    Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and experience working on EHR systems.
    •    Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines.
    •    Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
    •    Strong understanding of security protocols and data encryption techniques.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
