Staff Engineer - Developer Productivity Engineering

Job Description

We’re looking for Staff Developer Productivity Engineer to join Procore. In this role, you’ll lead Localization (L10n) engineering for Procore. This includes building automation workflows, establishing L10n best practices, and ensuring that Procore's software is 100% localized.

As a Staff Developer Productivity Engineer, you’ll partner with Engineers and Localization Project Managers to advance L10n engineering. Use your knowledge of Translation Management Software, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and ability to automate workflows to ensure that Procore wins internationally. In this role, you’ll join our highly collaborative Product and Engineering organization to drive the technical direction of our projects.

This position reports into Senior Manager, Software Engineering with the opportunity to be located in the Austin, TX office or work remotely from Austin, TX. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do: 

• Contribute significantly to the architecture, design, and development of the localization workflow.

• Execute localization requests from multiple stakeholders

• Troubleshoot localization engineering issues as they arise.

• Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders on projects.

• Manage translation management system integration, including a glossary, translation memory, and machine translation.

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and automation opportunities.

• Test and implement new localization projects, track performance, and identify improvements.

• Stay up to date on the latest technological updates and recommend ways to improve the existing setup.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience

• 8+ years experience in Object Oriented Program fundamentals, Test Driven Development and Design principles (Ruby on Rails, Python, C++, Java)

• Experience with Localization or L10n engineering 

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, operations, and native cloud application development

• Strong experience in AWS and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies (e.g., AWS Cloud Formation, CDK, Ansible, Terraform)

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach and mentor team members

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $158,680-$218,185. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
