About you and this role

In this role, you will be a vital technical resource for Operations, utilizing your engineering expertise to enhance plant performance, solve issues, and ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This position demands a solid understanding of engineering principles and plant operations, both conceptually and practically.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS company values, personal behaviors and procedures are applied in your area of responsibility. Apply EHS values, personal behaviors, and company procedures within your responsibility area.
• Collaborate with operations to troubleshoot issues and optimize plant performance using technical expertise.
• Utilize and challenge Most Effective Technology (MET) and process automation to improve efficiency.
• Identify root causes of asset utilization losses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor KPIs, logbooks, and alarm history daily to ensure compliance and optimal operations.
• Act swiftly during plant issues or emergencies as the technical expert, driving improvements in raw material efficiency, yield, and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Material Science/Metallurgical Engineering.

Your Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Capability to apply technical knowledge to real-world plant operations.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and process optimization.
• Familiarity with automation systems and performance metrics.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
