Manager, Client Business Intelligence (Hybrid)

Full-time, Austin, Texas, United States

 

As a member of the Business Intelligence team, you will work on a range of complex problems and be responsible for the design and development of new reporting packages. You will work on a cross-functional team that includes counterparts in Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Supplier Relations. 

 

Your performance will be measured by your ability to translate high-level business requirements into detailed product specifications, identify problems that need to be solved and own the process from start to finish. 

 

This role includes leadership, mentorship, and accountability of a team of less senior data analysts.

 

As a Manager, Client Business Intelligence, you will

• Apply critical thinking to break down complex problems into manageable components
• Conduct root cause analysis to uncover the fundamental drivers of performance programs or inefficiencies and recommend actionable solutions
• Develop, design, and maintain dashboards to present data insights and monitor performance metrics
• Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to improve business performance 
• Develop and maintain predictive models to forecast business outcomes and optimize processes
• Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to understand requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate them into business intelligence (BI) solutions

 

About you

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Previous hands-on experience with business intelligence software, preferably those found in the travel & meetings industry
• Strong SQL skills utilizing complex queries in a large data warehouse environment (Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, etc)
• Strong spreadsheet skills, including pivots, vlookups, conditional formatting, large record sets
• You can manipulate and condense large volumes of data into succinct and powerful visualizations using tools like Tableau and/or Power BI
• Analytical ability, demonstrated by being able to quickly grasp and break apart complex and ambiguous concepts into logical, understandable, and sequenced development steps
