About the role

We are seeking a Senior Research Project Coordinator who will support several research studies related to immigrant mental health, with a particular focus on children, adolescents, and caregivers. Across projects, the individual will be responsible for creating and monitoring project timelines; developing work plans; collaborating with staff at multiple research sites; oversight of data collection activities; IRB administration; and assisting in preparation and editing of scientific products of the research. These projects involve substantial collaboration with a multidisciplinary faculty team as well as with community and clinical partners. Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct data collection for research projects, including survey and observational data collection, qualitative interviews, and focus groups,
  • Develop tracking database/spreadsheets based on study requirements utilizing Excel, RedCap, Qualtrics, or similar software applications.
  • Oversee data management and storage, including quality control procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to research protocols, operating procedures, and all associated internal/external regulations.
  • Monitor data quality and accuracy as required by research protocol.
  • Lead the development of protocols, manuals, and standard operating procedures for research team operations and specific studies.
  • Recruit and retain study participants, which may include developing recruitment tools, contacting potential participants, and scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Coordinate community outreach and programmatic efforts.
  • Develop health communication materials to disseminate evidence-based mental health information to English and Spanish-speaking community members.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including developing an agenda and coordinating information and/or participation of individuals from other institutions and/or universities.
  • Assist with writing manuscripts, grants, white papers and other policy documents and grant-related reports.
  • Conduct literature searches relevant to ongoing projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
  • Three years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Native or near-native fluency in written and spoken Spanish.
  • Experience in health equity research and working with immigrant communities.
  • Experience in administering surveys and structured interviews.
  • Experience in health communications in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to interact sensitively, effectively, and professionally with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Master’s preferred.
