Adventist HealthCare Inpatient Rehabilitation seeks to hire a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, you will:
•Develop, organize, and provide recreation/activity services for patients.
•Participate in treatment planning for assigned patients; this includes assessments, documentation of services on patients, treatment plans, and active participation in treatment team meetings.
•Maintain recreation/activity therapy supplies and equipment and order supplies and equipment in accordance with budget.
•Complete all documentation on time according to hospital and department policies. Goals are written in functional and measurable terms.
•Assist with the documentation of patient participation and progress.
•Verify client information by interviewing client; reviewing and/or recording medical history; confirming purpose of treatment.
•Schedule rehab orientation for new patients on the unit.

Qualifications include:
•Bachelor’s degree focusing on Therapeutic Recreation
•Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
•Current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification
•Comfortable working/cotreating with our facility dog preferred

Pay Range:

$26.91 - $81,182.40

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
