Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Overnight Shift in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment for guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and a caring approach. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site-specific protocols.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting incidents in accordance with company procedures.
• Collaborate with retail staff and management to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
