About the role

Manager, Product Management - Recoveries Product

Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry.

Why Recoveries

US Card Recoveries will be the first line of business to migrate to Capital One’s next generation of data infrastructure – the ‘Modern Core’. This move will unlock the full power of our enterprise platforms for Recoveries, thereby accelerating new product launches, increasing recovery rates, and meaningfully changing the trajectory of our customers’ path back to credit.

The Recoveries modernization to Modern Core is a critical first phase of the broader Orion Enterprise Wide Initiative (EWI). The majority of this 2025 has been spent aligning on the critical path milestones, integrated roadmap & segregation of duties required to execute the Recoveries Modernization to Modern Core. The first half of 2026 will be heavily focused on executing the migration. H2 ‘26 and beyond will then be focused on optimizing how our platforms and business processes leverage the Modern Core infrastructure.

This PM will execute critical path milestones for migration – with a particular focus on building and executing the testing strategy to validate that our Recoveries business can run as expected on Modern Core infrastructure. They will partner with cross-functional groups to modernize controls, revamp legacy business processes, and influence destination state CX and architecture.
