SummaryAs a Structural Engineer you will be responsible for structural analysis of various structures. You will provide detailed calculations pertaining to strength and stability of structure frames like bridges and buildings with an emphasis on Forensic Engineering. A minimum of five years of experience performing causes and origin investigations is preferred, including forensic engineering projects focused on the determination of cause, origin, duration, and extent damage to residential and commercial structures due to moisture/water intrusion, wind/hail damage, construction deficiencies, impacts, ground, and structural damage. If you’re reliable, have a good work ethic, and can cooperate with co-workers and clients respectfully, this is the position for you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide expert forensic analysis to clients on engineering projects
- Provide factual and unbiased analysis and consultation on various property failures
- Conduct field investigations and analyze failures involving residential and commercial structures
- Performs required 40-year and older building recertification inspections.
- Peer review construction documents, protocols, Scopes of Work, and other similar documents associated with Structural design and repair restoration
- Advanced understanding of build materials, techniques, and processes
- Write and submit detailed reports on completed projects in a timely manner in accordance with company guidelines
- Communicated with clients to provide timelines an project updates
Qualifications
- Active Florida Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Licensed Architect
- 5+ years of experience as a civil/structural engineer performing forensic investigations
- Experience in 40-year or older Building Safety Inspection Recertification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to defend and support conclusions
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to climb onto first and second story roofs, ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
- Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing approximately 50 pounds or more
