Job Summary:

The Vice President, Revenue Management is responsible for optimizing revenue from our carriers and payor partners through contracting and contract management as well as end to end revenue cycle management. Additionally, the Vice President will be responsible for contributing to the scalable growth of the overall business and will create and manage the financial strategy surrounding the revenues of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all ASC 606 lifetime value accounting processes, including reviewing all assumptions (persistency, attrition, constraint) and reviewing monthly computations
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer contracts and the interaction with the Company’s revenue systems
  • Monitor cash collections process and the ongoing business reporting requirements
  • Quarterly evaluation of the change in estimate of the transaction price and analysis surrounding current persistency and provision trends
  • Collaborate with the executive team, analytics, finance and other departments to develop, refine support the financial strategy for commissions and pharmacy revenue
  • Partner with the customer retention team to proactively mitigate customer retention risk
  • Develop strategic direction and assist in road mapping tools across Finance that implement systematic approaches to maximizing revenue and cash flow and optimize the path for supporting the revenue growth of the organization
  • Collaborate with the executive divisional leaders and FP&A to drive annual revenue operation planning and alignment across cross-functional businesses
  • Build, develop and manage a diverse team of high-performing managers and directors
  • Direct the revenue teams in various duties, such as account management, communications with our various carriers, collections, cash posting, contract analysis and billing
  • Serve as key point of contact for Revenue related Internal and External Audit activities
  • Responsible for Revenue related internal control environment and ensuring controls and processes are adhered to
  • Special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong grasp of US GAAP, particularly in the area of revenue recognition
  • Ability to understand and work with complex systems and databases

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in accounting and complex financial systems
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in leading and developing high performing teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related fields required
  • Public Company controllership and SOX experience highly preferred
  • Insurance, Healthcare Services, and/or Big 4 accounting experience a plus
  • Possess an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
