As the premier commercial landscape and décor companies, Botanical Designs and affiliates are now hiring seasonal Holiday Installation and Production Technicians to produce and install Holiday festive decorations! If you have a gift for decorating and production, experience in installation, or are generally good at crafts and love glitter, we would love to hear from you. Creativity and a theater background is certainly a plus! 

We are looking for people interested in working full-time and part-time through the holiday season. This is our busiest time of year, therefore while we generally work Monday-Friday, some weekends may be required, especially from mid-November through early December. 

As a seasonal Holiday Installation and Production Technician, you will: 

Use your creativity to build Holiday props and décor, such as wreaths, trees, garland, and arrangements at the direction of the designers and customer specifications. 

Install Holiday props and décor onsite at locations across the city.

We are looking for people who are: 

Creative, using artistry to build Holiday décor and props, including trees, wreaths, garland and arrangements.

Detail oriented, assisting in the warehouse with preparation, also the installation of live and artificial holiday decorations on commercial sites, both interior and exterior.

Able to follow written, visual, and verbal design guides. Assuring each holiday order is installed to our customers’ satisfaction.  Remaining within hours budgeted as specified on job orders.

Experienced in design and/or lighting, including basic artistic ability or basic electrical training a plus but not required. 

Able to work well in a team or group setting. Professional mannerisms, appearance and actions are essential.

Provide a high degree of customer service both to fellow employees and clients.

Conscious of material cost and job waste.

Able to clean up after yourself and keep work area organized and maintain equipment in good repair.

Perform and assume such other responsibilities and duties as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Able to work overtime when needed. 

Attend in-house holiday decorating training session and meet minimum production criteria as assigned.  

Understand job orders and allotted time per job.

Must have the ability to work well with others both inside and outside the company.

Attend meetings with crew leaders at the start of each job to be assigned duties, you will also be notified of time requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Travel by car or truck required.  Installation of holiday decorations (both live and artificial) on our commercial accounts.  Warehouse work may also be required.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and physical tasks such as working on ladders or platforms, moving boxes and oddly shaped objects over shoulder height. 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to and takes direction from the holiday production coordinator and holiday decorating and design manager.

HOURS: This is a Seasonal Position.  Approximately 40 hours per week.  May involve weekend
