The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) Software Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Work with product owners and teams in an Agile environment interacting directly with business partners, to analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback to ensure clarity, completeness, and alignment on quality standards
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases that cover all aspects of the software.
  • Perform regression testing to verify that previously developed and tested software continues to perform after a change.
  • Participate in design sessions to influence product design based on testing needs.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to test software from an end-user perspective
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities also include the development of level of effort estimates for assigned work, participation in project planning, project status meetings and participation in any post-implementation reviews to identify and recommend solutions to close identified gaps and ensure product success.
  • Provide assistance to verify/reproduce reported issues.
  • Help resolve escalated internal customer support issues
  • Understand how APIs work and their interactions between different software components to create test cases and validate data integrity.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) four (4) years of experience in Software Development

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Four (4) years of experience as a software tester (QA) and software test automation
    • Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
    • Experience in the Healthcare industry
    • Knowledge of automation tools and frameworks, manual testing tools, techniques, methods and procedures
    • Hands-on experience with TFS, test automation, test case creation, and test plan management
    • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, Angular, Python, C#
    • Experience with automated testing of web applications and web services
    • Experience working as part of a Scrum team and famil
