Job Description
- Read and interpret specifications, technical drawings, understand tolerancing, read and understand production routings.
- Perform production line product and document audits to determine compliance with drawings, specifications, processes procedures and routings.
- Inspect in-process production as needed by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
- Use metrology equipment such as micrometers, calipers, surface plate, height gages and other measurement and validation tools as required.
- Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests as required as well as identifying and containing nonconformances.
- Perform daily validation test of some manufacturing process equipment
- Report, write and communicate issues and findings.
- Lead root cause analysis of non-conformances found during inspections and audits
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarize re-work and waste, and input data into quality database.
- Validate and maintain calibrated dimensional gages and various electronic measurement and test devices.
- Maintain the calibration database and assure calibrated items are up to date.
- Primary Interface with calibration vendors.
- Perform weekly 5S audits and follow up on corrective actions
- Promote quality policies, processes, procedures, and practices where required
- Perform scheduled basic process audits to assure compliance the company’s overall QMS, Quality Management System
- Monitor and analyze quality performance.
- Collaborate with managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Investigate and coordinate troubleshooting of production line quality issues.
- Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
- Review codes, specifications, and processes.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Ability to interpret and read technical drawings and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution or Technical Degree with 2 years of experience or 4 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Quality role
- Minimum of 2 years working in a Manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in US without Company sponsorship
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is 55,000-65,000.
