Additionally, in the Hubs part, the domain will focus on creating and strengthening the relationship and collaboration with ING Hubs worldwide with a specific focus on the Tech community and creating a governance around the way of working with ING Hubs. The Team:

As the IT Lead, you will be at the forefront of leading and developing innovative solutions that enhance our digital landscape. You will be a member of the People & Hubs Management Team, reporting directly to the CIO. Your peers are the IT Leads of the other IT Departments, including the Chief Architect for P&H.

In this role you will have the chance to:

  • Spearheaded the global EC&A organization, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Deliver scalable and reliable Enterprise Content and Automation solutions that are utilized across various entities within ING, with plans for further expansion.
  • Streamline and unify content management solutions to ensure they are user friendly, compliant, and reliable for customers and employees worldwide.
  • Work closely with the COO DBNL Tribe Lead as a co-lead, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering Scalable and Reliable Tech Solutions: Collaborate with the tribe to deliver scalable and reliable tech solutions, onboard new entities, and ensure compliance and risk-free operations.
  • Simplifying the Current Landscape: Simplify the existing landscape and deliver commodity services that justify business value against costs and resources.
  • Vision and Strategy: Shape and translate the EC&A strategy, ensuring that the IT part of the strategy is successfully implemented within the IT areas. Driving the strategy and connecting the dots with the overall Tech Strategy of ING.
  • Optimizing Content Management Tech Landscape: Define the most optimized content management tech landscape, considering the bank’s tech strategy.
  • Solution Delivery: Oversee the delivery of solutions that support the bank's content management capabilities, including archiving, OCIR, STP, and translation.
  • Leadership and Direction: Communicate the direction and clarify the actions needed to implement the target architecture of EC&A. • Senior stakeholder management across different departments ranging from finance, HR, Risk to MT CTO. • Creating and ensuring the engineering culture and one Agile Way of Working including Recruiting, motivating, and developing a highly skilled engineering workforce.
  • Talent Management & Ensuring overall IT maturity while driving the craftsmanship of the employees working in your respective department.
  • People management for several IT Area Leads and a chapter of IT Integrators / IT Business Analysts. To make this happen, you deeply know and understand the challenges of engineers and encourage IT Area Leads to continuously develop their capabilities and competencies to always remain up-to-market in their field.
  • Financial and Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of the IT EC&A strategy, including developing and managing the budget for all IT initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective resource allocation.
  • Risk Management: Deliver critical regulatory obligations and manage risks effectively. Additionally, Adapt and manage major escalations, ensuring that significant issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

How to succeed:

  • Educational Background: University or postgraduate (Master's degree) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 7-10 years of professional experience in IT management or a related field, with proven leadership skills and a strong strategic vision.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep technical expertise in relevant technology areas and strong knowledge of emerging trends in this area.
  • Digital Transformation and Innovation: Deep understanding of digital transformation, strategic planning, and innovation management.
  • Financial Acumen: Important for overseeing the financial aspects
