Summary of Position:
ReCode Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Program Manager with a focus on Research programs. As a Senior Program Manager for Research, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating collaboration across various functional areas within our research teams. Reporting to the VP of Program Management, you will actively contribute to research and development programs and collaborate closely with research, CMC, and other departments to advance ReCode's innovative pipeline. Your responsibilities will span from program strategy development to execution, ensuring seamless coordination and communication. This is a contract position (40 hrs/week) and can be remote but west coast (PST time zone) highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Experience successfully partnering with project team leaders in a cross-functional team to advance programs from research to early development and beyond.
- Manage programmatic inputs and consolidate to create an integrated view of timelines, budget and interdependencies and determine critical path.
- Monitor and track the program against approved timelines and milestones and ensure adherence to objectives and deliverables.
- Support the program team to develop, maintain and execute the strategy for multiple research programs. The number of programs will depend on stage and scope of the programs.
- Work with and coordinate with cross functional subteams.
- Design, develop, and manage project schedules for cross functional subteams.
- Lead and develop the cross functional plans including realistic but aggressive timelines, budget and resources planning, risk assessment, and contingency planning.
- Ensure cross functional alignment and organizational support for the execution of the program plan by facilitating internal and external stakeholder meetings.
- Manage the sharing of research program information including dashboards for each program and communication to senior management and program team.
- Manage research team documents such as minutes, agendas, action items, development plans, integrated timelines, assumptions, TPPs, and publication plans.
- Identify bottlenecks, surface issues, and proactively drive their resolution.
- Ensure effective, proactive and open communications, horizontally and vertically, in order to achieve transparency and clarity of program goals, progress and issues.
- Assist with the development of PM processes, procedures, and tools to improve departmental functioning of the program management office (PMO).
Qualifications:
- Degrees in biology, chemistry, or other applied science (e.g., BS, MS, PhD, MD, MBA) or equivalent curriculum.
- 3-5+ years of experience in drug discovery and development primarily focused on target selection, hit or lead validation or other stage of early drug discovery.
- 1-3 years of project management experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech setting.
- Proven proficiencies in the analysis and communication of a wide range of data and information, such as scientific, clinical, technical, legal, regulatory, business, financial and market analytics.
- Demonstrated project management excellence.
- Demonstrated success supporting integrated cross functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including attention to detail.
- Strong technology skills including PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, MS Teams, and Smartsheet.
Salary Range: *$100-$105/hr
