About the role

Have you ever thought about what it takes to detect and prevent fraudulent purchases among hundreds of millions of e-Commerce transactions across the globe? SPS ensures Amazon's Selling Partners and Customers are able to transact in the safest way possible.
In order to ensure this safety, we utilize Vendors to add rigor and depth to our processes. As a Vendor Manager I, you will be the liaison between these Vendors and the Product Teams.


Key job responsibilities
The Vendor Manager I focuses on executing vendor management processes and tools within SPS. Not only does this individual facilitate the flow of onboarding third-party vendors, they also protect Amazon by adhering to due diligence procedures that mitigate legal, tax, security, and financial risks to the company. Each of these programs is comprised of the following: process control; automation; governance; planning and forecasting; master data management; financial management; internal stakeholder management; external stakeholder management; and collaboration with analogous teams across Amazon.

Role Responsibilities
• Manage the Vendor onboarding life cycle
• Facilitate communication between Product Teams and Finance, Legal, Tax, Information Security, and Vendors
• Be an advocate for both Amazon and the Vendors, embracing a win-win approach
• Open purchase orders and troubleshoot invoicing queries
• Support quarterly vendor business reviews
• Maintain Vendor Management process documentation
• Work with Global Corporate Procurement on larger Vendor relationships
• Create and maintain a Vendor Management consultation tool

• Undergraduate degree
• Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills(both verbal and written), with vendor, client, or customer-facing experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results timely

• 1 year vendor management activities
• Relevant experience in retail, purchasing, negotiations with a proven history of delivering results
• Strong multi-tasking ability and experience with meeting multiple deadlines
• Experience in a buying, marketing, or supply chain function

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
