We are looking for a dynamic and driven Senior IT Audit Manager to join our Diabetes Internal Audit team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape an independent, risk-focused audit function from the ground up. This role involves leading the planning, execution, and oversight of IT audit activities, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and address IT-related risks.

As a people manager, this position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and deep expertise in IT controls and processes. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset and a passion for building high-impact audit capabilities in a fast-evolving environment.


This role requires you to work on-site at our Northridge, CA office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Effectively collaborate with colleagues and business partners in various departments and operating units.  Conduct complex conversations with audit stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
  • Operate in an independent and organized manner, managing multiple projects and escalating issues promptly.
  • Lead IT SOX scoping, testing of controls, and coordination with the external auditor.
  • Plan and lead risk assessments with organizational leaders to gather insights for the audit plan.
  • Lead reviews (audit, advisory, and integrated) throughout the entire audit process, identifying control gaps and proposing solutions.  This includes designing and implementing control frameworks to ensure efficient risk management and IT controls.
  • Create clear and concise audit reports and presentations for senior management and the audit committee.
  • Monitor open audit issues and support timely remediation.
  • Lead projects in accordance with department standard operating procedures, as well as International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. 
  • Lead team members on general audit processes, technology, and department operations. Assists them in meeting their job requirements. This includes providing ongoing recognition, coaching, and performance reviews. 
  • Stay current with emerging technology trends, industry standards, and regulatory changes to proactively align audit strategies and practices.
  • Contribute to learning and development opportunities, including acquiring CPE hours and taking on challenging projects for continuous improvement.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, information systems, or accounting.
  • Candidate must be certified as a CPA, CISA, CIPT, CIA, and/or CISSP.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of IT audit experience and 5 years of managerial experience
  • or, advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years IT audit experience and 5 years of managerial experience.
