Description -

HP Workstations is looking for a talented and energetic engineer to join the Workstations Technical Engagement team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest and greatest technology supporting our newest workstation products. You will get to work with nearly every piece of the organization closely, including our strategic ISV partners, the Go-To-Market teams, Engineering, and the Product Teams. You will play a critical role in demonstrating the ‘So What?’ for our customers by being the technology expert and having a direct impact on why HP wins!

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical relationship of critical Integrated Software Vendors (ISV) and Integrated Hardware Vendors (IHV)
  • Project Management of technical marketing assets, working with strategic partners (ISVs and others) to create project plans, managing timelines and deliverables against the goals of the program.
  • Represent HP as an industry expert various Tech Events, Trainings, and Trade Shows
  • Oversee the Workstation Equipment Program, working with HP’s next-generation technology to support HP at internal and external events, customer and partner requests, and ad-hoc performance testing
  • Monitors and tests application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifies possible solutions, and works with developers to implement those fixes.
  • Creates and maintains detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user manuals.
  • Leads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

Preferred Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus

The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
