As a Security Coordinator – Level 3 located in Magna, UT, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
The primary responsibility will be as the plant Lock and Key Control Officer, with secondary support responsibilities to support Contractor Processing/Badging, Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Global Trade Compliance (US Customs & Border Patrol) programs, and general physical security to ensure protection of personnel and company resources.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support internal and external customers
- Exposure to classified and sensitive unclassified information
- Responsible for various compliance programs necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Day to day management and operation of key center (general and specialized keys)
- Lock programming (S&G, KABA X-09, x-10, Unican, etc.)
- Operate key management software to determine and key/core configuration and maintain inventory/strict accountability
- Build, install and service lock cores for doors and padlocks
- Cut keys; maintain control and inventory of shelf stock & extra keys
- Coordinate to maintain a bench stock of cores/core components, padlocks, key blanks, and other key/lock related materials
- Perform regular and no-notice inventories on issued keys
- Provide accurate key issue reports to facilitate key recovery for employment terminations
- Provide customer audit/inspection interface and support
- Support general plant physical security requirements
- Facilitate contractor access through vetting/approving requests
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- Experience in physical security including access control, perimeter and area security, and emergency response
- Experience in providing detailed one-on-one and group training
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Database Management Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to include working with senior leaders/managers, customers, employees, and security personnel
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current, active Secret clearance
- Lock and key experience including formal training & DoD locksmith program
- Bachelor’s Degree and three years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, an additional four years of directly relevant experience may be considered
- Experience with Keystone (key control software)
- Understanding and application of automated access control systems (Lenel & Trilogy preferred) and camera systems (ExacqVision preferred)
- Understanding of Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) directives, employee possessor screening, licensing and assessments
- Understanding of and experience with DoD 5100.76, Physical Security of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition & Explosives (AA&E)
