A role in HQ Engineering and Activation means being at the heart of our perpetual reimagining. This group is the think tank and laboratory for the innovative ideas that spark change throughout the Supply Chain. We are inventors, metrics masters, data geeks, testers, triers, course-correctors and askers of the all-important question “What if …?”. This team influences processes, engineers the robotics and automation to support those processes, activates solutions sustainably across the network and manages those assets. About the Job:

As an Engineering and Facilities Senior Supply Chain Analyst, you’ll work closely with our Supply Chain Engineering (SCE) Headquarters and Engineering & Facilities (E&F) field teams to manage our annual Operations Expenditure (OpEx) budget and related processes. You’ll help plan and execute the annual OpEx budget development process through collaboration with SCE Asset Owners, field teams and other Target-internal partners. You’ll assist in the management of invoice payment processes, assist field teams in management of their expense performance, and publish reports on expense performance to budget for all E&F field teams. You’ll coordinate with E&F Senior Operations Managers and Asset Owners to synthesize enterprise-level trends for reports and recommend periodic maintenance for Budget and Forecast lines. You’ll perform analysis on wage rate adjustments for HR Compensation, national contract accruals and system deficiency expenses for SCE Asset Owners, reporting on the ongoing adjustments to budget associated with approved changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively across all internal and external partners including Supply Chain Engineering, operations & facility teams and vendors
  • With support from the Expense Manager, coordinate with internal and site level partners to ensure accurate and timely communication and development of annual OpEx budgets
  • Execute using repeatable, internal tools & templates to assist with loading, tracking and managing budgets
  • Work with cross organizational teams to maintain accurate expense data, develop and submit forecast updates and complete budget reporting enhancements
  • Provide multi-leveled expense performance analysis to SCE partners, leadership and Target Finance teams
  • Support Asset Owners through vendor service completion tracking and root cause analysis to determine expense variance drivers and areas of opportunity
  • Maintain, manage and close-out vendor contract expenses in a timely manner
  • Assist with the management of vendor payment processes including manual invoice payments, automated service and parts purchase orders and electronic invoice submissions

  • 2+ years experience
  • Comfortable understanding, analyzing, and synthesizing large amounts of data
  • Financial modeling skills Strong oral and written communication skills
